The whole time Cytherea had Protesilaus lumbering around Canaan House, Dulcinea's body was stashed away in her room. She risked carrying Dulcinea's corpse over the landing pad, through the hallways, and into her bedroom instead of consigning it to the depths out of.... what? Sentiment? Aesthetics?

I really don't know what to tell you. Twenty-two months ago I started writing a silly little coffee shop AU where Buffy was a long-suffering barista at Giles' coffee shop and Spike William was the dorky customer she ran illegal latte experiments on and who definitely didn't have any weird secret hobbies or anything. Then it turned out that this fic was cursed and/or prophetic and I stopped being able to write for a year and a half. But now I'm back and I finished the motherfucker. Welcome to the Bean Box, bitch.

The keycard beeped. Roy let himself in the room, dropping the bag in the entryway.

“Jamie?”

Something plastic fell down in the shower.

“In here, Coach.”

Even with the door wide open, a wall of steam hit him in the face when he walked inside the ensuite. 

He froze when he realized the shower curtain wasn’t pulled shut at all. Water spilled pooled across the tile, seeping into a hastily thrown aside bath mat. Stripped bare, the bruising along the top of Jamie's back painted a lurid display, darkening to a deep black where the majority of his weight had been supported.

“Everybody saw that, huh?”
